Branford Recreation Announces Family Day Event

Branford will join the State of Connecticut in celebrating the '19th Pat Andriole Family Day' on Sunday, September 25. Free.

From the Branford Recreation Department:

The town of Branford will join with the State of Connecticut and numerous other organizations in celebrating the 19th Pat Andriole Family Day on Sunday, September 25th, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. All events are scheduled to take place on the Branford Town Green. In the event of inclement weather, all activities will take place inside the Branford Recreation Department.

The campaign, “Valuing Connecticut’s Families…It’s Everybody’s Business,” distinguishes families as the basic building blocks of society and encourages the support of families. It focuses on the every day issues and events central to the core health of the family such as the importance of family tradition, family strength, and family community interdependence and work/family issues.

This event, named in honor of retired Branford Counseling Center Director, Patricia Andriole, is open to parents, children of all ages, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. Scheduled activities, both fun and educational, relay games, food, entertainment, magic, music and much more will be featured.

This free event is sponsored thanks in part to the Branford Counseling Center, the Branford Recreation Department, the Branford Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking, the Branford Family Resource Center, the Branford Early Childhood Collaborative, Branford’s Youth Outreach Worker, Jeff Kikosicki, the Branford Police Department, the Branford Fire Department, the Branford Rotary Club, the Soundview YMCA and many other Branford agencies.
