Branford Affordable Housing Complex Proposals Requested

A proposal to renovate Parkside Village I was cancelled after residents voiced concerns.

BRANFORD, CT —The Housing Authority is accepting new proposals for an affordable housing complex project after plans for Parkside Village I were withdrawn.

Officials have released a request for proposals for a land parcel with at least three acres of build able land for construction of up to 120 affordable housing units, according to the New Haven Register.

The proposal to renovate and add on to Parkside Village I was cancelled after residents voiced parking concerns and the character of development clashing with the area. The building is for low-income seniors.
