Branford Walkers Announce Spring Schedule
The Branford Walkers invite the community to join them in upcoming hikes.
From the Branford Recreation Department:
All hikes except the eight Branford Trail hikes meet at 8:45 a.m. in the In-Shape parking lot on Main Street (route 1) just west of Cedar Street (off I-95 exit 54) to car pool and leave by 9 a.m. For the eight Branford Trail hikes, meet at the finishing point as indicated. Where addresses are provided, these are people who prefer to go directly to the hike location. Questions about individual hikes should be addressed to the leader.
March 25: Branford Trail 1. Indian Neck from Riverside Terrace to Pine Orchard Road. Meet at service road for the Shoreline Pet Lodge, 157 Pine Orchard Rd. We will car pool from there to start the hike and back. Sam Saulys. 203-887-5213.

April 1: Branford Trail 2. Pine Orchard: from Pine Orchard Road to Stony Creek. Meet at West Point Road ball field (off Thimble and Island Rd). Sam Saulys. 203-887-5213.
April 8: Branford Trail 3. Stony Creek: from Stony Creek flag triangle to the end of Quarry Rd. Meet in the parking lot at the end of Quarry Road (off Rte 146). Sam Saulys. 203-887-5213.

April 15: Branford Trail 4. Quarry Westwoods: From the end of Quarry Road to Rte 1. Meet at United Methodist Church, 811 E Main St. (Rte 1 at Goldsmith Rd.[Towner Swamp Rd.]). Park left, near to the dumpster. Sam Saulys. 203-887-5213.
April 22: Branford Trail 5. North Boundary: from Rte 1 at Goldsmith Road to Northford Road. Meet at the Northford Rd. parking area, east of Brookhills Rd. or park along Brookhills Rd. Sam Saulys. 203-887-5213.
April 29: Branford Trail 6. Pisgah Brook: from Northford Road to Lake Saltonstall. Meet at lake Saltonstall hikers' parking lot, 400 Hosley Ave. Sam Saulys. 203-887-5213.
May 6: Branford Trail 7. Lake Saltonstall: from the hikers' parking lot to West Main St. (Rte 1). Meet at Lakeview Center, Rte 1 (across from Hosley Ave.). Sam Saulys. 203-887-5213.
May 13: Branford Trail 8. Short Beach: from Dominican Road to Branford Point. Meet at Parker Memorial Park, at the end of Harbor Street. Parking sticker not needed this time of year. Sam Saulys. 203-887-5213.
