Brushy Plain Road Accident Sends 1 To Hospital

A vehicle into a utility pole had fire and rescue working to get 'extricate' an inured person, police said. Motorists should expect delays.

BRANFORD, CT — Police, fire and rescue were on the scene of an accident at around 7:40 p.m. Saturday near 166 Brushy Plain Road where a vehicle hit a utility pole and flipped over, necessitating an extended effort by responders to get the person out of the car.

The injured person, as of yet unidentified, was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital. The extent of their injures is unknown.

Branford Police said it's an active accident investigation and the roadway near the crash site will be closed during it.
