According to the Connecticut State Police, over the course of the Memorial Day weekend from May 24 to 27:Â
- There were 281 motor vehicle accidents on state roads, including 59 with injuries. Two people were killed in accidents, one in West Hartford and one in North Stonington.
- Troopers arrested 57 people on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugsÂ
- Troopers issued 4,294 hazardous moving violations, 1,941 speeding violations, and 718 seat belt violations
