BRANFORD, CT - Finding homes for baby roosters it has taken in is turning out to be quite a chore for the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford.

Nobody seems to want them.

On social media, the shelter said:

“Three month old baby roosters need a rescue ! Please share so they can be saved. We have reached out to over 15 organizations and NO ONE will help them.

“If anyone is looking for a friendly pet rooster, good with hens and can live happily with other farm animals please call the animal shelter at 203-315-4125. Time is of the essence for these guys!

There has been an immediate response to Cosgrove’s plea.

One person said he owns roosters and would adopt one; others have been sharing info on social media in an effort to find the roosters new homes.
