Dean Conte Is a State Champion Diver!

Dean Conte, a high honors sophomore at Branford High School, is certainly finding success in the sporting world, as well. Though Conte only began diving last year, he just claimed the Class M state title.

Winning states earned Conte a trip to the State Open, which will be held on Thursday, March 14 in Middletown. In addition, he also took third in SCCs this season. Conte is coached by Steve Sawyer.

The pool and the classroom aren't the only places Conte shines. A gymnast since he was six, Conte also competes in Junior Olympics gymnastics. He is now a Level 10 gymnast who has qualified and competed in the New England regional meet for several years. Conte is set to compete in the Connecticut gymnastics state championship on March 16.
