UPDATE: Dog Found In Branford “In Need of Emergency Surgery”
Cosgrove Shelter: "He is in need of emergency surgery for severe bladder stones which can block at any moment."

BRANFORD, CT - The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter reported Sunday night, in an updated social media post, that a dog that was found wandering in downtown Branford Saturday is in need of immediate surgery.
Earlier in the day Sunday the shelter said the owner of the dog had been located but things have changed. The shelter is once again caring for the dog.
The shelter’s latest post now says on social media: “We have taken permanent custody of this pug that was found roaming a few days ago named Eddie. He is in need of emergency surgery for severe bladder stones which can block at any moment. The estimated cost is between $1,500 and $2,000.
