BRANFORD, CT - The pug that was found wandering around downtown Branford over the weekend has had successful emergency surgery but isn’t out of the woods yet.

The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, who has been taking care of Eddie since his owner turned him over to them, said this about Eddie:

“Eddie had his surgery yesterday and is doing great ! So here is the good news and the bad news....good news is he did wonderful during the surgery and he had a ton of stones removed as well as four rotten teeth.....bad news is because he was under anesthesia for so long there was one stone stuck that they couldn't get.
