22-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck By Train In Branford: UPDATE
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon and the identity of the victim has been released.

UPDATE — Authorities said that Alexandra Trippodo, 22, of Branford was killed after being hit by an Amtrak train Saturday afternoon, WTNH News 8 reports.
Approximately 140 people were on board the train. Train service was halted for several hours.

BRANFORD, CT — A fatal collision between a train and a pedestrian Saturday afternoon has halted rail service by CTrail Shore Line East indefinitely.
One person has been confirmed as having been struck by a train, and has died of injuries sustained in the collision, according to Branford police.
