Help the Blackstone Library launch a new plan for the future!

2020 was a difficult year for everyone and the challenges we’ve all faced have altered our community in many ways. The Blackstone Library is committed to serving the needs of everyone, so we are asking for your help in developing a new strategic plan to help guide the library for the next five years.

As part of our community, your needs, perspectives, and experiences are important to us and we want to get to know you better. The library serves the entire community and we want to make sure that we understand the goals, desires, and needs of all the different segments of our community –even beyond what you have traditionally used the library for. There may be things that we can do as we evolve that can help the community beyond what we have imagined.

To do this, we are holding a series of Community Conversations. They will involve conversation, sharing, and some creative exercises that will focus mostly on you, your life, and perspectives rather than on the library and the current programs and services. This will allow us to understand our community at a more meaningful level and not just from the perspective of what we currently offer. It will also help us to focus our programs, services, space, and staff on things that really matter to you and the rest of the community. Your input in these conversations will make a big difference for the library’s future!
