Under cloudy skies, the Branford Jazz on the Green series returned on June 27 with a good crowd despite the heat and threat of showers. Giacomo Gates was the featured performer.
The series, which is put on by the town, the Branford Festival and the Branford Recreation Department, is held on Thursdays throughout the summer (except for July 4) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
