Salary: $11/hour
19.5 hours a week

Essential Function:Â Animal Control Functions such as investigations, record-keeping, report-writing, assist the public, answer phones, clean kennels, feeding and walking dogs, clean cat room, help with fundraisers and other tasks as needed.

Qualification Requirements: Candidate must have excellent communication skills, animal handling skills and knowledge of their behavior and should possess a high school diploma or GED. (Associates or higher degree preferred) and a valid CT driver’s license. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or weekends. Proficient in computer skills including word, excel, and power point.
Selection Process:Â The Town of Branford reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be considered for the position.
The files of all qualified candidates will be maintained for a minimum of six months from the announcement date, and the qualified candidates will be considered for the same or similar positions which may become available during this timeframe.
All candidates must successfully pass a post-offer medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test given at the Town's expense.
The Town of Branford conducts background investigations for all positions prior to hiring. Refusal to sign the release form will terminate the candidate from further consideration.
