“Our names are Jamie Lovejoy and Ramon Rios and we are both Johnson & Wales graduates. Jamie graduated with her Degree in Baking and Pastry and Ramon (Ray) graduated with his degree in Business Management and Culinary Arts.

“We fell in Love right after graduating in 2009, and Jamie always says that Ray cooked for her once and she never let him go! We both gained awesome experience working in bakeries and running kitchens throughout the Providence RI area.

“After a few years, we found a great opportunity in Connecticut ( where we both were born and raised) and decided to move back to our home state where we opened The Berlin LunchBox in 2013 located in Berlin, Ct. We ran that location for 3 very successful years, but sadly came to an end as our lease was up and the land was sold. We closed up the place in 2016 and worked tirelessly to find our new location! We are now thrilled to announce that we are now open as Love Bakery and Cafe in Branford!

“Here at Love Bakery and Cafe we offer a variety of amazing salads, panini's, flatbreads, and gourmet cupcakes! As far as our Cafe menu goes, we make everything in house from our oven roasted pulled pork, roasted red peppers, and even our candied walnuts! No small detail goes unnoticed. We also pride ourselves on supporting our local farmers! Nothing is better than farm fresh produce!!! The only thing not made in house is the bread...from which we order our artisan breads from Wave Hill Breads out of Norwalk.

“As for the cupcakes, they are baked fresh daily so the flavors are always changing. We like to describe our cupcakes as not too sweet! They are about as sweet as ice cream, but as soft as whipped cream. We also take orders for all types of catering trays, platters, and custom cakes!”
