Mom Has Been My Cheerleader Since Day 1, Branford Woman Says

BRANFORD, CT — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Connecticut to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

It doesn't matter how old the kids are, they'll always be your babies! and part of the fun of motherhood is watching your children grow up and enjoy the same things that you love.

In Branford, Tierney Maturo said "I wanted to submit a photo of my mother and I. It was taken just last Saturday at my graduation at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. I graduated with my Doctor of Pharmacy and I couldn’t do it without the constant support, love, and motivation from my mom. She was always at the other end of the phone whether I just needed someone to talk to, or listen to me cry, or share good news with. She has been my cheerleader since day one and I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without her. I am so grateful for everything she has done and sacrificed for me. She truly is the most amazing mother and I think she deserves recognition for her selfless actions."
