Mom Is 'A Real Life Superwoman,' Branford Daughter Says

BRANFORD, CT — Whether it's through their personality, looks, hobbies or a combination of everything, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. With Mother's Day 2018 right around the corner, we are celebrating that special bond by inviting Patch readers across Connecticut to share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

In Branford, Cara Hennessey says, "I’m lucky enough that I share physical attributes with my Mom (Darcy Hennessey), but i’m more thankful for things she does on a daily basis. Besides sacrificing everything to make her family happy and well taken care of, my mom is a nurse; which means any other time is for the hospital and her patients. She makes a difference every single day in peoples lives and doesn’t expect anything in return. She has worked tirelessly my entire life to provide for myself and my two brothers. She is a real life superwoman and should be celebrated on much more than Mother’s Day. I love you Mom!
