New Haven Man Found In Branford Marsh Died By Suicide: PD
Police said out of respect for the man's family, his name won't be released. Hikers discovered the body of the 27-year-old in Stony Creek.

BRANFORD, CT — At around 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, hikers in Stony Creek discovered a man's body in the marshes just off the Branford trail near the Guilford town line, police said.
Branford Police Deputy Chief John Alves told Patch Friday that the body was that of a 27-year-old man from New Haven.
Alves said investigators were present for an autopsy performed by the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The ME ruled the manner of death a suicide.

"Out of respect for the family Branford Police will not be releasing his identity at this time as family notifications are still being made," Alves said.
