No Brush Drop-Off Monday Morning

If you have brush to get rid of, you can bring it to the Transfer Station during regular hours, which are 7:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on weekdays and 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

However, no brush will be accepted on Monday, April 22, through at least noon as the Transfer Station will be chipping brush. Brush is chipped into mulch, which is available to residents at no cost while supplies last.

"We are asking that residents please call ahead that day to make sure they aren’t turned away," said Sharon Heslin of the Department of Solid Waste and Recycling.

According to the Transfer Station's webpage, "We cannot accept brush on the days when we are chipping the brush, since, for safety reasons; we cannot allow anyone on the back of the property while the machine is running."

The Transfer Station is open for other services during brush chipping.
