Not Quite A Christmas Gift But Still Good News: Taxes Deferred
The tax deferment program, created to help folks impacted by the pandemic, gives taxpayers until April 1, 2021 to pay the Jan. 1, 2021 bill.

BRANFORD, CT —The town of Branford announced Wednesday the continuation of the tax deferment program adopted earlier this year to assist eligible taxpayers that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pursuant to Governor Lamont’s Executive Order 9R, municipalities have the authority to continue to offer the same tax relief program(s) as previously adopted by the town.
Earlier this year, the Town of Branford approved a tax deferral program extending the grace period for the July installment for an additional 90 days and will continue to offer the same option for those eligible taxpayers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic for the tax bills due January 1, 2021.
