Obituary: Ann B. Hartigan, 96, of Branford
An "avid" UConn and Yankees fan, Ann loved to cook, especially for her grandchildren, and was known for her delicious pepperoni bread.

Ann B. Hartigan of Branford died Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Branford Hills Health Care Center after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Hartigan.
Ann was born in New Haven April 24, 1925, daughter of the late Gennaro and Giovannina Ranfone Solevo.
She worked at Harco in Branford for many years until retiring in 1997. Ann loved to cook, especially for her grandchildren. She was known for her delicious pepperoni bread. She was an avid sports fan who loved the Yankees and the UConn basketball teams.
Ann is survived by her children, Judith (Dave) Perrone, Karen (Dean) DeMello, Ann (Michael) Gargamelli and Colleen Smith; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Vincent Iovieno and her daughter Kathleen Sytnik and her siblings, Mary Biondi, Francis Solevo, Anthony Solevo, Jean Miro-Quesada, Florence Civitello, Rose Greenburg and Joseph Solevo.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and may call prior to the funeral from 10:00 – 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
