Liz, an avid traveler, worked as a medical biller and coder at the Hospital of St. Raphael for many years.
BRANFORD, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Elizabeth Mary McKenna, age 55, of Branford passed away peacefully on June 9, 2021.
Born in New Haven, a daughter to the late Stephen C. & Eileen (Carew) McKenna, Liz is the sister of Kathy McKenna Villavicencio, and the late Dennis McKenna, sister-in-law of Teddi McKenna, loving friend of Taylor Joyner, aunt of Tim McWade (Bernadette Sorbo), Rowan Avery McWade, Michael McWade, Alfredo (Claudia) Villavicencio, Marcelo Villavicencio, Dennis McKenna Jr., Daniel (Tanya Maiorino) McKenna, Steven McKenna, Joseph McKenna, great-aunt of Gianna, Santino, Aubrie, Daniel Jr., Teresa, The Joyner & Lewis families, and her fur baby Josie.
Liz worked as a medical biller and coder at the Hospital of St. Raphael for many years. Prior to that, she was employed by New Haven Savings Bank.
She loved to travel, especially to Ireland. Most of all, she loved her role as an adoring aunt.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 14 at 11 o’clock in Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will be private.
