Obituary: Kimberly Ann Torelli, 54, of Branford

Kim worked at Smilow Cancer Hospital and at Abate's on Wooster Street for over 25 years. She had a smile for everyone she met.

Kimberly Ann Torelli of Branford passed away peacefully Monday May 10. She was the mother of Shawn Kavanaugh of Branford and Deja Decapua. She was the sister of Lisa Torelli-O’Neill (Daniel) of Gloversville, N.Y and JoAnn Serra of Branford. She is also survived by her nephew Travis Torelli of Saco, Maine.

Kim was born in New Haven on July 22, 1966, the daughter of George and Nancy Anderson Torelli. She was an Environmental Associate at Smilow Cancer Center and had a smile for everyone she met. She also worked at Abate’s on Wooster Street for over 25 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 at St. Mary Church of St. John Bosco Parish in Branford. Burial will follow in Branford Center Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. is in care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Closer to Free Fund, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.
