Obituary: Marie (Doering) Donofrio, 94, of Branford
A retired 3rd grade teacher who earned a degree from Yale, she was a "Snoopy collector" who enjoyed 'Beagle Fest' with step-daughter Gail.
Marie (Doering) Donofrio, 94, of Branford passed away April 25, 2021. She was born November 28, 1926 in Westfield, MA to William and Nellie (Allen) Doering. Marie is survived by her step children, Joyce Crews of CA, Gail McNeill of NV and Rosemary Burns of Derby. She is also survived by nephew, Dr. Richard Carlson of OK and niece, Rosemary Cinquanta of Branford. Marie is preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Carlson and Peter Donofrio and two step children, Howard Carlson and Jane Carlson.
Marie was a retired third grade school teacher in Branford. She received her Master’s Degree in Education from Yale University and SCSU. She was a Snoopy collector for many years and enjoyed going to “Beagle Fest” in Santa Rosa, CA with her step daughter, Gail.

Family will receive mask wearing friends on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with burial to follow at Tabor Cemetery in Branford.
