Obituary: Robert George Rice, 77, of Branford

He loved travel, guitar, and the Patriots. He never missed a game. His favorite memory was taking his Dad to the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Robert George Rice, 77, of Branford, New Haven, and lastly Florida passed away on February 7, 2021. He was born on November 17, 1943 in New Haven to the late Edmund and Mary (Ottenbreit) Rice. Robert is survived by his Godmother and aunt Nell Parisi, his uncle Dwight Ottenbreit, dear friend Bo Blair and his family, and numerous cousins.

Robert graduated from Notre Dame High School and Southern Connecticut State College with a degree in Education. He was a teacher in the New Haven School system until he joined the U S Army, where he served his country for five years in Germany. Following the service, he moved to Los Robles California, where he created his own company COPYCO. He expanded his new business, BOSCO, serving as the CEO, to Massachusetts and New Hampshire. At the age of 71, he retired and moved to Florida and resided there until his death.

Robert loved traveling, playing his guitar, and "THE PATRIOTS". He never missed a game. One of his greatest memories was bringing his Dad to the Patriots Super Bowl game in New Orleans. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a graveside service with Military Honors on May 20, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in Saint Agnes Cemetery on East Main Street in Branford CT.
