Sheila Montague Peckingham of Branford died Friday June 18, 2021, at her home. She was the wife of the late John F. Peckingham.
Sheila was born in Oxford, England July 18, 1941, daughter of the late Harold and Sarah Collins Montague.
She is survived by her children, Stephen Peckingham (Zoe Friedman) of Venice, CA and Karen Peckingham (Matthew DiSette) of Branford; her grandson Gibson Friedman Peckingham; and her sister Eleanor Shaw of Hamden.
Her passions included travel, photography, volunteering with Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven and sailing with Shoreline Sailing Club.
Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford Thursday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford at 10:00.
Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Branford Community Dining Room, 30 Harrison Ave., Branford, CT 06405 or to Orchestra New England, P. O. Box 123, New Haven, CT 06520.
