Primary Election Update: Ballots Are In The Mail
Drop completed ballots in mail or secure drive-up election ballot drop box at Town Hall on Primary Day, Aug. 11 at 8 p.m. to be counted.

BRANFORD, CT —The town clerk said that if you are a qualified Democrat or Republican and have completed an application for absentee ballot, the Secretary of the State’s office has confirmed ballots are in the mail as of today.
Any applications received in Branford as of July 30 are being processed locally in the Town Clerk’s office, and ballots are directly mailed from the Branford post office, rather than the State’s mail house.
Look for absentee ballots in your mailbox next week. Voters are encouraged to drop completed ballots in the secure drive-up election ballot drop box in front of Town Hall by Primary Day, Aug. 11 at 8 p.m. in order to be counted.

Voters who will be out of town before receiving your ballot in the mail, may complete an application for a replacement absentee ballot. Your original ballot will be voided, and a new one issued to you over the counter at the Town Clerk’s office.
The deadline for new voters, and for unaffiliated voters to enroll in a party for voting in the primary is Thursday, August 6, 2020. You may apply in person to the Town Clerk’s Office or the Registrar of Voters Office until 12:00 noon on Monday, August 10, 2020.
