Safely Dispose Of Hazardous Household Waste & Drop Off Brush
Spring, having sprung after a cold, dark winter, is a time for sprucing. From brush to hazardous household waste, Branford's cleaning up.
BRANFORD, CT —It's time for spring cleaning. And the town is on in the act, too.
Beginning Thursday and continuing through May 14, the public works department will be chipping and is accepting brush on Saturdays during those weeks. It's advised folks check with the transfer station via phone at 203-483-8641 to make sure.
The way it works: workers at the transfer station chip brush brought in by residents into mulch, which is free, "while supplies last." For safety reasons, the town cannot accept leaves or brush, or allow anyone on the back of the property while the machine is running.
