Storm Power Outages: What You Need To Know
Did you know that the electric company doesn't know if you've lost your power unless you tell them?

BRANFORD, CT — With a storm incoming, power outages are likely. But if your power goes out and you don't notify the utility, it usually doesn't know.
And while Eversource says it is ready to respond in the event of outages as a result of the storm, it needs to know where it's responding.

If you have to drive, watch out for downed trees and downed wires and in the roadway. Don’t drive across a downed powerline!
