Trivia Night at SBC and a Double-Dose of Jazz in Branford This Week

It's the first full week of August. Here's what happening in Branford: trivia night, library events and two jazz nights!

Show Your Smarts: Trivia Night at SBC Branford is Monday, Aug. 5 at 8:30 p.m.

Check Out the Library: In addition to an amazing selection of books, the Blackstone Library has a full calendar of events – including yoga, knitting and story times – and museum passes, too!

Double Dose Jazz Nights! The Jazz on the Green Concert Series runs through Aug. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Pack dinner or enjoy dining in one of the many restaurants Branford has to offer. The United States Coast Guard's Dixieland Jazz Band performs on Thursday, Aug. 8 and Brian Torff (originally scheduled for July 25) is Friday, Aug. 9. Want to show your support? Branford Town Meetings: This week, meetings include the RTM Education Committee on Monday, Aug. 5, Board of Selectmen, Blackstone Memorial Library Board of Trustees, BOE Teaching & Learning Committee and Open Space Authority on Wednesday, Aug. 7; Parker Memorial Park Commission, FEMA Map Changes & Flood Insurance Public Information Meeting and Inland Wetlands Commission on Thursday, Aug. 8.
