Two Cats Left Abandoned at Branford’s Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter

The cats are being cared for at the shelter and being evaluated after they were dumped by someone overnight.

BRANFORD, CT - Two cats were left at the front door, in a container with no breathing holes, at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter last night.

Here is what the shelter had to say about the incident on its Facebook page Tuesday afternoon:

Dear Person who left cats in an airtight container at our front door at night with NO air holes..... Karma is watching you and will find you.

To the kind person that found these cats before the morning so they did not die- Thank You! We appreciate you putting them in the dog house area so we could get them and take them to the vet to be evaluated.

Every day we come in not knowing what to expect. This is why we desperately are in need of donations because every day brings a new case of abandonment, neglect or abuse. If you would like to donate here is our link.
