Wife Of Branford Police Captain Killed In ATV Crash In NY State
Angela M. Watrous, 46, was killed when a utility terrain vehicle she was on in Upstate NY Sunday crashed and rolled over, state police said.

BRANFORD, CT —Late Sunday afternoon, New York State Police responded to a roll-over crash of an utility terrain vehicle in the town of Lyme in Jefferson County, according to a news release on the crash.
Killed in the crash was Angela M. Watrous, 46, of Deep River. She was the wife of Branford Police Department Capt. Gregory Watrous.
State police said that the operator of the UTV lost control and both the driver and passenger were thrown. Troopers said John D. Zimmer, 53 from Chaumont, NY, was laying on his back with serious leg and facial injuries. Watrous was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Zimmer was airlifted by LifeNet to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, state police said, noting the crash is still under investigation.
