3 Fairfield Bus Drivers Test Positive For Coronavirus
More than 200 students and staff across Fairfield Public Schools were in quarantine Tuesday, according to the district.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Three Fairfield bus drivers have tested positive for the coronavirus, school officials reported Tuesday.
The drivers serve routes for Fairfield Warde High School, Roger Ludlowe Middle School and Dwight Elementary School, a message to parents said.
“Contact tracing has been confirmed and any close contacts are now in quarantine,” the message said. “No building closures are indicated. If there is a need for anyone else to self-quarantine, they will be contacted directly by a member of the Fairfield Health Department Contact Tracing Team.”

Also Tuesday, the school district reported three new cases at Fairfield Warde, and one case each at Roger Ludlowe, Jennings Elementary School and McKinley Elementary School.
As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, 24 students and nine staff members across Fairfield Public Schools had the virus, according to district data. Another 69 students and 27 staffers had recovered after testing positive. In addition, 221 students and staff district-wide were in quarantine.
