3 Promoted, 2 Hired At Fairfield Police Department

The department recently welcomed a new police officer as well as an animal control officer.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Three members of the Fairfield police department were recently promoted and two new officers were hired.

Keith Broderick was promoted to captain, Felix Esposito was promoted to lieutenant and Don Matejek was promoted to sergeant, according to a Facebook post from First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick, who oversaw the promotions Jan. 27.

Also Jan. 27, Kupchick swore in Robbie Knapp as the department's newest officer and Tiffany Robledo, who joins Fairfield police as an animal control officer.
