Annual Sand Castle Contest In Fairfield Aug. 6
The contest is sponsored by the Fairfield Police Athletic League.
FAIRFIELD, CT ? The Fairfield Police Athletic League will host its annual Sand Castle Contest from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Penfield Beach in Fairfield. The rain date for the event is Aug. 7.
Registration for the contest, which is free but required, begins at 10 a.m.
"Prizes will be awarded for Best Entry by a Junior, Most Original, Most Artistic, and Most Realistic sculpture," organizers wrote. "Open to individuals 18 and under and teams with at least one member 18 or under."
