Police Seek To ID Suspect In Armed Robbery At Fairfield Bank
A Fairfield bank was robbed Tuesday for the second time in recent weeks, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a bank Tuesday in Fairfield, according to law enforcement. The incident was the second robbery in recent weeks at the business.
Several people called 911 about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to report the incident at People’s United Bank inside Stop & Shop, 1160 Kings Highway Cutoff, police said in a news release. The suspect showed the teller a note and displayed a gun before fleeing with an unknown amount of cash, according to the news release, which said no one was injured.
Witnesses reported that the man fled on foot through the parking lot, the news release said. He is believed to have left the scene in a vehicle after K-9 tracks were unsuccessful, according to the news release.

The suspect is a white man who is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and has shoulder-length hair, the news release said, adding the suspect was wearing a black hat and gray button-down shirt with a dark-colored tie.
The man has no known connection to the suspect in another robbery that took place Sept. 30 at the bank, according to police. The suspect in the Sept. 30 robbery is wanted in connection with several similar incidents across the area.
