This Is The Best Sandwich In Connecticut, People Magazine Says
A Connecticut deli serves the best sandwich in the state, according to People Magazine.
FAIRFIELD, CT — There are a lot of great places to grab a sandwich in Connecticut, but a new list claims that a local eatery in Fairfield has one that stands above the rest. That's according to People Magazine, which teamed with online restaurant guide The Infatuation to identify what they are calling "The Best Sandwich In Every State."
According to the list, Firehouse Deli at 22 Reef Road in Fairfield is the winner of this title in Connecticut, thanks to its Grilled Abbers Panini.
"Don’t miss the Grilled Abbers Panini, a pressed hoagie layered with fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and mayo," People said.

To compile the list, People considered The Infatuation's expert reviews and recommendations from writers and editors, along with independent diner feedback. They paid special attention to places that serve regionally-inspired dishes and use locally-sourced ingredients.
According to their website, Firehouse Deli serves both breakfast and lunch, offering items such as the Mr. Prez (house roasted turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Russian dressing, hard roll), the Dan-O (roast beef, Swiss, cole slaw, Russian dressing, whole wheat) and the Fairfield U Chicken Panini (grilled chicken, avocado, bacon, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo).
