The force of the impact caused the car to spin 180 degrees, witnesses at the scene told police. Two occupants -- including Dean, who was allegedly driving the vehicle -- exited the car. Dean admitted to drinking prior to driving, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said. He also told police his vehicle had a steering problem.Â
Dean and the passenger were transported to Bridgeport Hospital for evaluation.
