Crash Related To Shooting Investigation Closes Roads In Fairfield

A gun was found in the vehicle involved in the crash and a suspect was in custody, according to Fairfield police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield intersection was closed Wednesday due to a crash related to an investigation of a shooting out of Bridgeport, according to police.

The intersection of Tunxis Hill Road and Villa Avenue was closed in all directions as of about 11:30 a.m., Fairfield police said in a Facebook post. The post was later updated to say the roads had reopened as of 2 p.m. but that drivers should expect residual delays.
