Popular Deli's Opening Date Set For New Location In Fairfield
The popular deli, which was forced to close after a fire in Bridgeport last year, is reopening in a new location in Fairfield.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The wait is over. After previously announcing that it would be opening its new location in Fairfield in November, Sorrento Importing Co. will be officially opening its doors on Black Rock Turnpike this week. Sorrento’s, a popular Italian deli that has been in business since 1966, closed after a fire at its Bridgeport location, 2487 Main Street, last August. The fire occurred in the third-level apartment above Sorrento's.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the new Fairfield location and Sorrento’s shared the good news that it will be open on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 1838 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.
Sorrento’s shared a photo of inside the new deli on Facebook and announced the grand-opening date.
