Delicious Pizza on Bronson Road in Greenfield Hill

Almost every weekend I go to the Greenfield Hill Market, now known as Testo's Deli & Pizza on Bronson Road in Fairfield for my weekly cold cuts. They serve Boar's Head meat and cheese like other places but for some reason, they taste better here. The best example is the Boar's Head Oven Roasted Turkey. It tastes and smells like they just took it out of the oven. Ask for a piece as it is sliced or try a piece as soon as you get home and you will likely agree. It tastes delicious!

Recently our favorite pizzeria in Bridgeport closed, so I have been searching for a new place for our Friday night tradition. Normally, I think of Testo's Deli & Pizza for pizza slices not full pies so I called to see if I could order a Margarita Pie with garlic. Nicole answered the phone and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived 15 minutes later, Nicole handed me the pie. It was so beautiful looking I had to take a photo and meet the Chef who made it... Eddie. It was large and reasonably priced... less than $20.

When I got home, my family was delighted how fast I returned and how delicious this Margarita Pie was. After my first slice, my mouth was watering for another. The crust is full but incredibly tasty. This is not a pie were you leave the bones behind. With other pies, sometimes I like to dip the crust in salad dressing but this did not need any because it was so flavorful on its own.

The next day I returned to Testo's Deli & Pizza for my cold cuts. Nicole asked me how my pizza was! That is the feeling of a great neighborhood market.

While Testo's has a wide range of menu items, from grilled breakfast sandwiches to salads for lunch and hot entrees for dinner, the focus of this experience was the pizza because I think it is underestimated there. For example, I could write at lengths about their glorious grilled egg sandwiches on English muffins. Next time you are in Testo's Deli & Pizza, go all the way to the back and see Eddie, the pizza man.
