The organs were found in Gould Manor Park on Holland Hill Road, according to authorities.

FAIRFIELD, CT ? The discovery of animal organs in Gould Manor Park on Holland Hill Road in Fairfield has prompted the police department to investigate a possible "Santeria-type ritual," according to authorities.
Investigators began the probe on Thursday, after the department received "a report of items found at the park that resembled animal organs," said Sgt. Michael Stahl in a statement.
"The Fairfield Police Department is investigating the incident, and preliminary indications suggest a Santeria-type ritual involving what are believed to be animal organs," Stahl said. "The exact identity of those responsible for placing these items at the park are not yet known."
