Downtown Fairfield Commercial Building Sells For Millions

The property, 1610 to 1618 Post Road, houses Lantern Point Taverna and other businesses.

FAIRFIELD, CT ? The commercial building in Fairfield at 1610-1618 Post Road was recently sold for $2.44 million, according to one of the principals of the real estate investment company that bought it.

Bart Stanco, senior vice president of Big Oak Investments, told Patch that the property was bought under an LLC owned by Big Oak, called Koa Capital.

The businesses in the building ? Greek restaurant Lantern Point Taverna, bakery Bonkers Cupcakes, and clothing store Boho Prep ? will remain, Stanco said.

"We want to keep local businesses in place, help them expand, anything we can do," Stanco said. "We want mutual success."

The 4,500-square-foot building rests on 0.35 acres of land, and it has off-street parking. It is across the street from a Rite Aid Drug Store and TD Bank.

"The property generated substantial interest, thanks to its exceptional location in the heart of Fairfield Center and its provision of a private parking lot with 27 spaces. This sale reaffirms the enduring allure of the downtown business area, which continues to draw a vibrant consumer audience."
