FAIRFIELD, CT — A driver brandished a pocketknife at a fellow motorist during a recent road rage incident in Fairfield, according to police.

A motorist called 911 about noon Tuesday to report being threatened with a knife by another driver, police said. Officers responded to a Shell gas station on Black Rock Turnpike and determined the drivers had accused one another of driving erratically, with one motorist displaying a small pocketknife when the other tried to approach their vehicle, according to police.

Officers warned the drivers to keep the peace and to call 911 to report reckless driving in the future, police said. No one was arrested.
