Driver Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries, Crashes Stolen Car: FPD
The driver was behind the wheel of a car recently reported stolen from Westport and had not been identified as of late Monday, police said.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A driver suffered life-threatening injuries in connection with a crash Monday in Fairfield that involved a stolen car, according to police.
The person was behind the wheel of a Honda Pilot that had just been reported stolen from Westport when the vehicle was involved in a single-car crash at 8:01 a.m. while traveling east on the Post Road near Jelliff Lane, police said.
The driver was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center and had not been identified as of about 5 p.m. Monday, police said.

A section of the Post Road was closed until about 1 p.m. Monday while investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash, according to police. The incident remained under investigation late Monday.
