Eight Fairfield Restaurants Named Among CT's Best

FAIRFIELD, CT — There’s no shortage of great places to get a bite in Fairfield, and eight local restaurants have the accolades to prove it after Connecticut Magazine recently published its 2021 Best Restaurants awards.

Appearing three times on the list of winners is Barcelona, which has locations in Fairfield, Norwalk, Stamford, New Haven and West Hartford. Barcelona won the statewide Reader’s Choice award for best Spanish or Portuguese restaurant, and was also named an Experts’ Pick for its appetizers and wines.

Shu, with locations in Fairfield and West Hartford, was the statewide Readers’ Choice winner for best Chinese restaurant. Gingko was named an Experts’ Pick in the category.

Among statewide Readers’ Choice runners-up were Geronimo Tequila Bar & Southwest Grill, which has restaurants in Fairfield and New Haven, in the Mexican category; and Mecha Noodle Bar, with locations in Fairfield and four other communities, in the Vietnamese category. Mama Chow and Pho Nha Trang were both Experts’ Picks for Vietnamese restaurants.

Little Pub, which has restaurants in Fairfield and four other towns, won the Fairfield County Readers’ Choice award for lunch.
