Enjoy a Blizzard Treat, Help a Child in Need Thursday
Dairy Queen's Miracle Treat Day is Thursday. Proceeds from the Fairfield location will benefit the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Westchester.

If ever there was an excuse to enjoy a Dairy Queen Blizzard, this is it.
Thursday is Dairy Queen's national Miracle Treat Day -- for every Blizzard purchased, participating stores will donate $1 to a Children's Miracle Network hospital.
But the Fairfield Dairy Queen at 1902 Post Road is taking the day one step further. Owner Nick Frattaroli will donate all the proceeds from Blizzard treats sold Thursday.
He's also set up some fun activities and few guest appearances -- rumor has it First Selectman Michael Tetreau may be serving up some Blizzards around 1 p.m. -- and has arranged for fire trucks to make a stop at the store.
Proceeds from the Fairfield Dairy Queen -- as well as stores in Monroe, Stratford, Bridgeport, and Westchester County -- will benefit the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. The hospital cares for Fairfield County's most seriously ill and injured kids.
The Fairfield Dairy Queen is open 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday.
