Fairfield Affordable Housing Plan Update Underway; Input Sought
Fairfield residents have a chance to weigh in on housing issues in town by completing a recently announced survey.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The town of Fairfield is conducting a community survey about its housing needs and possible future housing strategies.
The town is updating its 2014 Affordable Housing Plan and 2016 Plan of Conservation and Development, both of which look at current and anticipated housing needs in Fairfield. The survey is an opportunity for residents to provide input about their housing experiences and feedback about housing options Fairfield might consider.
The survey, which will be open for responses through mid-July, should take five to seven minutes to complete and will help the town plan for its future for decades to come, according to a town news release.

Survey findings will be shared with various town boards, including the Affordable Housing Committee and the Town Plan & Zoning Commission, to assist with future planning. Additionally, the results will be posted on the Affordable Housing Committee webpage of the town website.
“This survey is an important exercise, which will help Fairfield better assess housing needs and consider alternative housing strategies,” Stephen Grathwohl, chairman of the Affordable Housing Committee, said in the news release.
The committee is expected to complete work on an update to the Affordable Housing Plan by early 2022.
