Fairfield Bakery Closes After Worker Tests Positive For Virus

The business also mandated virus testing for its employees, and is paying for the tests.

FAIRFIELD, CT – A Fairfield bakery is set to reopen this weekend after it closed last week when a worker tested positive for the coronavirus.

Isabelle et Vincent said in a Facebook post Oct. 20 that a production employee was confirmed to have the virus and that the French bakery at 1903 Post Road would close until Oct 23 and test all staff members. On Oct. 22, the business’s owners announced the bakery would remain closed until Saturday under the guidance of the health department.

“We value our employees and you, our customers; for that reason, we will continue to do all that is necessary to keep everyone safe,” owners Jill and Mike Saulsberry said in the Oct. 22 Facebook post.
