Fairfield Burglar Smashes Door, Steals Jewelry From Home: Police

Homeowners returned to their residence to find the sliding glass door was shattered and valuables were stolen, Fairfield police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield family arrived home Sunday to find their residence had been burglarized while they were away, according to police.

Law enforcement responded about 6 p.m. to Pemburn Drive, where homeowners had returned to their residence to find the sliding glass door in the back of their home was shattered, and jewelry and other valuables were stolen, Lt. Antonio Granata said in an email.

Police searched the area but did not find a suspect, according to Granata, who said detectives continued to investigate the incident Monday.
