After 47 years at its landmark Black Rock Turnpike location, Fairfield Pool has moved to 278 Meadow Street.
The new showroom, located off of I-95, is in the same building as Fairfield Stone and Landscape Supply. Both businesses are owned by Greenwich resident Jeremy Blum, according to Fairfield Pool manager Mike Alcataz.
Fairfield Pool relocated in 2012 after its former location, 2226 Black Rock Turnpike, exchanged ownership.
The original owner of Fairfield Pool also owned the building at 2226 Black Rock Turnpike, but his family eventually sold the property after he passed away, Alcataz said.
"The new owner of the building wanted to sell it, so they had to get rid of all the tenants," said Alcataz, who grew up in Fairfield and has worked at the pool installation company for 40 years.
The company hasn't changed since the move, Alcataz said. It has maintained the same number of employees and trucks.
"My work is done in the field," he said.
Regarding the former location, the second story of the building at 2226 Black Rock Turnpike is being removed while the building is renovated.
